I may have found the answer to my currently prominant mood swings and constant depressive state...
I've been using the Nuva Ring for about 6 months now for birth control purposes, and I just found out that contaceptive pills or hormonal birth control methods cause a deficiancy in the vitamin B6. A deficiancy in B6 causes the following: irritability, nervousness and insomnia as well as general weakness, skin changes such as dermatitis and acne as well asthma and allergies might develop when pyridoxine is in short supply. Symptoms may include nails that are ridged, an inflamed tongue as well as changes to your bones - which can include osteoporosis and arthritis.
Irritability. I've been soooOOOo easily irritated with... everything. Mainly people. And what sucks the most, it's with people I come in contact with on a regular basis. So my family and my friends. For those of you who have seen my questionable irritability in action, I sincerly apologize. I've been trying to pinpoint why I've recently been so easily irritated with life yet with no luck, I have continued to be moody and annoyed in general. It sucks. It makes a person that's normally pretty happy into a mopy depressed grump. As soon as I can get myself to the store, I'm getting myself a B-complex vitamin (Apparently B6 needs the same amount of B2 to be activated), and I'll let you know how it works. I went to a Nuva Ring Lovers interest group and found that many girls who have found themselves depressed from extended use of the ring have tried taking B6 suppliments and were surprised at how effective they were. Yay for not being depressed!

Re: yeah...
Yeah, poor thing. You try to fix one thing and another problem arises. As for things that suck, it sucks more not knowing how to deal with obscure changes in the body/mind that don't have obvious causes. And as for being a girl... you get used to it.
